St. Louis police officer Mike Langsdorf comforts a little girl who had just been dropped by her father from the third floor roof of a house Monday evening, Nov. 17, 2003, after the house caught on fire in St. Louis. The father of the house dropped six children down to a stranger before jumping to avoid the fire. The father and one of the children was slightly injured. Langsdorf said that this little girl would not let go of his neck, even when he tried to put her in an ambulance.
