Sugar the poodle is comforted after Affton firefighter James Castro pulled the dog out from under a bed in the spare bedroom of a house that burned in Sunset Hills, Mo. Wednesday morning, Nov. 12, 2003. The woman of the house was taken to a hospital with apparent smoke inhalation. The fire caused extensive damage to the interior and back porch of the home. Sugar was given oxygen by Mehlville paramedics and appeared to be doing okay.
