Amy Hancock, center, gets her chance to go behind the camera with the Discovery Channel film crew Bob Freeman (left) and Don Schroeder (right), who are following her for four days. Hancock is the subject of a story about an experimental operation that may give Hancock her speech back. She lost her voice because of larangeal cancer. On Friday, Hancock will have a long operation at Barnes-Jewish Hospital to try and restore her speech. The camera crew was taping Hancock as she left her job at Shaw's Garden Wednesday evening.
